      Never a Dull Moment
      Memories
Reid was the adventurous, rascal, kind, friendly, fun, funny, generous, caring, and the list goes on kind of guy. From small kid time he was outgoing and adventurous... boogie boarding, wakeboarding, kayaking, basketball, snowboarding, etc. I'm glad I captured some of the adventures. It's memories that will stay with me forever. It was never a dull moment with Reid, he always knew how to have fun and make others laugh. Missing your smile, your voice, your sense of humor, your charm, your wit, and your way of making everything better... MISSING YOU!!! Love, NTD

INDEPENDENCE 08 Memorial @ Beale AFB
      Memories
In the spring of 2015, members of the 306th Intelligence Squadron and 427th Reconnaissance Squadron from Beale AFB, California came together to create an enduring monument in memory of the INDEPENDENCE 08 crew. Families and friends of our fallen heroes were invited to attend the dedication ceremony which also included the renaming of the base theater on 27 April 2015. However, due to shipping delays the dedication ceremony was postponed for a couple months impacting travel for several family members including myself. After 6 1/2 years I finally had an opportunity to visit the memorial in person while on a TDY to Beale AFB in last week (26 October 2021).

      AFROTC and Paintball
      Memories
My name is Jen Hendricks (former Pawlicki), and I had the pleasure of being an AFROTC cadet in Det 225 with Reid back in 2001-2002. As a crosstown cadet, I didn't have the luxury of getting to know my fellow cadets as well as those who were on campus together, but I did have the opportunity to go paintballing with Reid and one of our wingmates, Matt Conners, and we had a blast! As you can see from the photos, I had a bit of a different strategy with my bright yellow pants, while Reid & Matt went the more traditional camo route haha. I only completed one year of AFROTC before deciding the military wasn't for me, but Reid was always someone that stuck in my mind ever since our paintball outing. Fast forward to today, and I've found my way back to Det 225 as the new staff assistant! I know I have some pretty big shoes to fill after Janet retired in 2019, but I'm over the moon to be here at Notre Dame and helping the current cadets as they journey towards commissioning!
