For this month's Memory Monday, we'd like to share photos from a memorial that most of Reid's loved ones have never gotten a chance to see. In 2017, we were invited to visit L3 Technologies (now L3Harris Technologies) in Greenville, Texas, where the MC-12 Liberty aircraft was developed. Our friend Bob Sanchez learned about the memorial and connected us with gracious staff members at L3 who gave us a tour and shared details about the memorial.
The memorial features a model replica of Liberty 32 (Independence 08) encircled by four benches made of black granite and Texas stone. Dedicated in November 2013, the memorial benches honor Reid and his three fellow Airmen Capt. Brandon Cyr, Staff Sgt. Richard Dickson, and Staff Sgt. Daniel Fannin.
